Inventory Controller

Our Client is looking for an Inventory Controller, on a contract basis, location in Aberdeen

  •  Maintains inventory by receiving, storing and delivering items.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This includes but is not limited to:



  • Taking delivery of goods and supplies and checking for damages or missing items

  • Completing daily forklift checks

  • Inventory movement using lifting gear or a forklift truck

  • Picking and packing orders and loading goods for dispatch while keeping paperwork up to date

  • Cleaning work areas by assessing and practicing safe housekeeping

  • Storing goods in a safe manner suitably protected from deterioration

  • Cycle counting

  • Loading and unloading of vehicles

  • Assisting with the disposal of Company waste and participate in HSE inspections


 

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

Qualifications / Training         



  • Valid forklift licence


 Preferred Requirements:



  •  IoSCM certified in warehousing and inventory

  • Banksman Slinger certified


Experience      



  • Experience in materials and inventory control practices

  • Substantial experience in a warehouse environment


Competencies / Skills / Knowledge     



  • Knowledge of warehouse and inventory controls

  • Application of Health, Safety and Environmental controls

  • Good general IT skills

  • Forklifts: carry out effective observations and recognise unsafe practice and behaviour

  • Knowledge of inventory practices


Preferred Requirements:



  • Control of industrial waste


Contractual Requirements



  • Valid UK driving licence
