Payroll/Accounts Assistant

Cammach Bryant are looking for a part time Payroll and Accounts Assistant. The role is a staff position, 17 hours per week over a full day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Working in conjunction with the Finance Manager to ensure efficient running of the Payroll/Accounts Department and ensuring a timely and efficient payroll and accounts service to the Business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Operating Sage Accounts and Tempaid Payroll Systems

  • Providing efficient and accurate payroll function for contract workforce

  • Production of invoices from payroll system for contract workforce

  • Raising credits as and when required for contract workforce

  • RTI and Pension Auto Enrolment management / reporting & queries

  • Holiday accrual calculations

  • Dealing with Payroll related queries

  • Liaison with Operations Team

  • Monthly PAYE – HMRC Reconciliation

  • Keeping payroll processes up-to-date

  • Producing invoices for permanent placements based on specific instructions

  • Payment of tax and national insurance, monthly – as required

  • Input of reports from Tempaid payroll to Sales Ledger – as required

  • Dealing with accounts related queries – as required

  • Purchase/Sales Ledger – as required

  • Credit Control – as required

  • Reporting of any unusual costs to Manager as necessary

  • Respect confidentiality at all times

  • Ensure excellent upkeep of customer service at all times

  • Ad hoc duties as required

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

Essential



  •  Proven record of accurate payroll processing

  • Experience of dealing with payroll related queries

  • Experience of working under pressure to strict deadlines

  • Confident in the use of payroll related software

  • Understanding and strict adherence to confidentiality

  • Experience of Sales Ledger/Invoicing

  • Confident in the use of excel and Microsoft packages

  • Accurate numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills


 Desirable



  • Experience in the use of Tempaid payroll software

  • Experience of Agency payroll processing

  • Experience in the use of Sage Accounts software

  • Experience of Purchase Ledger

  • Experience of Credit Control
